Clean-up on November 11

Join us at Chuck Hutton Chevrolet, located at 2471 Mt Moriah Rd. Memphis, TN 38115. We will meet at 9am to clean up trash from the terrace on the south side of the creek immediately adjacent to the dealership. We will provide bags and water. A limited number of buckets and grabbers will be available to assist in the work as well. Some gloves will also be available, but if you have gloves please bring your own. Most of what we will be cleaning up is loose plastic. The hazards in the area include; mud, thorns, poison ivy, and wildlife. At this point the weather looks like it will be good, but it will be a little chilly. Please wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. All participants will be asked to sign a waiver before assisting in the clean-up.

The property owner doesn’t mind people collecting items from the gravel bars so if you find a cool rock or fossil that you would like to keep that is okay. Mr. Hutton would like to keep any native American artifacts that are found on his property. If by chance anyone finds an arrowhead, pottery, or any other such artifacts please document them and we will give them too Mr. Hutton.
