11.11.23 Clean-up

The clean-up that we held on Veteran’s Day was a success. We were able to remove a truckload and a half of trash from the creek and adjacent terrace near Chuck Hutton Chevrolet on Mt Moriah Rd. We had 7 people in attendance including a contingent from the University of Memphis, Earth Sciences Club. In looking at the trash we cleaned up, the items represented about a 30 year span of time. The next time we do a clean-up at this location we should be able to focus more on the slope between the dealership and the terrace. Our next clean-up is scheduled for January 13th at Hickory Hill Park. The more details for that event should be posted some time in December.
